  Black Locust Tree

Alternative Views:

A Black Locust Tree grows to approximately 30 ft tall and provides excellent cover and erosion control, and an abundance of seed for quail, turkey, grouse, pheasant, and song birds. You will find many game birds roosting in the branches of the Black Locust Tree. The Black Locust tree is a member of the Pea family which produces large dark seedpods which hang and provide food for wildlife from autumn to early spring when vegetation becomes scarce. The leaves and bark of the Black Locust are toxic, adding yet another deterrent to predators. This Wildlife Tree's bark will peel as it grows, which some animals are attracted to as a delicious treat to eat, and it is a tough tree that can be grown beside roads and streets.

My entire order April 9, 2016
Reviewer: George Leatherman from Arabela, NM United States
I have ordered over $300 worth of various fruit trees and grape vines.  The order was processed and shipped out FAST and accurate.  Arrived in great condition.  I heeled in and waited for warmer weather and planted.   All trees are now starting to swell and bud out.  Grape vines are a little slow but expected.  Going to be a great spring watching all those trees/vines grow.   Now I have to figure out how to keep the rabbits and deer from the tender shoots.  Very happy customer.

my tree order January 19, 2016

The trees I received were the best I have ever gotten from an online order.  The trees' roots were complete (not cut off like many nursery orders) and the trees were not mere twigs but the trunks and branches looked healthy and full.  I will definitely be ordering more trees from Ty Ty.
