Beech Trees May 12, 2016

The trees arrived on time.  When I planted
them (within a day or two) I noticed that
the leaf buds were not plump.  On inspecting
them I found them to be dry and to contain
no living tissue.  Will they revive and send out
new growth?

I purchased 2 feet sycamore trees, they arrived very quickly. I transplated them into pots, and they are coming along nicely.
