Anise Shrub		Planting Anise Evergreen Shrubs

The Anise shrub plant is a fast grower when planted in rich, moist soil. The Anise shrub plant will also grow well as a base plant. The Anise shrub is salt water tolerant and can grow vigorously when planted next to the ocean. The flowers and evergreen foliage of the Anise shrub plant is aromatic and the crushed leaves have the fragrance of liquorish candy. This picture of an evergreen Anise shrub was taken on the campus of the University of Georgia(UGA) after a seven inch snow storm on March 2nd, 2009. The evergreen anise shrub is not considered a cold hardy evergreen plant but recently survived a severe snow storm in zone 7 on the Campus of UGA in Athens, Georgia as pictured above on March 2nd, 2009
